Tae-yong calls up 27 players to face Iraq and the Philippines

JAKARTA (4 November 2023) – Indonesia head coach Shin Tae-yong has called up 27 players for the team’s matches against Iraq and the Philippines in the second round qualifiers of the 2026 FIFA World Cup later this month.

In Group F, Indonesia will take on Iraq on 16 November 2023 at the Basra International Stadium in Iraq and then the Philippines five days later at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila.

Overseas-based players like Asnawi Mangkualam (Jeonnam Dragons), Pratama Arhan (Tokyo Verdy), Sandy Walsh (KV Mechelen), Jordi Amat (Johor Darul Ta’zim FC), Saddil Ramdani (Sabah FC), Rafael Struick (ADO Den Haag) and Elkan Baggott (Ipswich Town) will form part of the squad.

Ivar Jenner and Marselino Ferdinan have been left out due to injuries.
