HANOI (7 November 2023) – Son La Women’s FC will return to the VFF Women’s Football Championship – Thai Son Bac Cup 2023.
This follows the timely intervention of provincial and local leaders alongside the main sponsor of the Thai Son Bac Cup 2023 – Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Co., Ltd.
“We admire the effort of Son La FC to overcome their difficulties. Hopefully, the local government and also local businesses will make further investment in women’s football,” said Tran Anh Minh, VFF Executive Committee Member and General Director of Thai Son Bac Company.
With mostly local and ethnic players, Son La FC have been struggling for years with finances in spite of their enthusiasm to take part in all women’s football activities.
But with further backing from Thai Son Bac this year, Son La FC will return to the national women’s championship.
Thai Son Bac were also a sponsor for Son La in 2019 and 2022.
Thai Son Bac Cup 2023 will take place from 14 November to 28 December 2023 in Hanoi.
