FAM launch second phase of F:30 Road Map

PETALING JAYA (12 November 2023) – The FA of Malaysia (FAM) launched the second phase of the F:30 Road Map – slated for 2023 to 2026 – yesterday.

The launch ceremony was attended by Major General Khiev Sameth, President of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF), YB Hannah Yeoh, the Malaysian Minister of Youth and Sports and Datuk Seri Windsor John, the General Secretary of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

“Strategic Plan 1 which was started in 2019 aimed to create a stable football eco-system through good governance, competition and development in terms of human capital and infrastructure,” said Hamidin.

“On behalf of FAM, I would like to express my gratitude to the affiliated members of FAM as well as the governing bodies of football, namely FIFA, AFC and the AFF for their support.”

For the second phase, FAM will focus on three main thrusts – namely brand development through sponsorship and collaboration with private companies, growth of the game by expanding the pool of players in the country as well as strengthening the national squad and empowering organizations with innovative approaches.

“Congratulations to Datuk Hamidin and FAM for successfully completing the first phase of the F:30 Roadmap, which is building a solid foundation in terms of management, competition, human capital and infrastructure development,” said Major General Khiev Sameth.

Added Hannah Yeoh said, “FAM have made various efforts in developing a strong and coherent narrative for a complete strategic plan. This is not an easy task and it needs to involve stakeholders from inside and outside the organisation.”
